Spirits of the World Collaboration Project

Alchymia Distillery is excited to announce that our new spirit is to be bottled in the ‘Spirits of the World Collaboration Project’!!

We are delighted to announce our involvement in the World Whisky & Spirits Glass Collaboration Project. Having made our first 200 litres of spirit in Mclaren Vale SA prior to our move back to the UK, we have embraced the opportunity to be involved in this exciting project with 8 other like minded distilleries from all corners of the globe.#alchymiadistillery #internationalcollaborations #spiritsoftheworld

Project partners from: Japan (Hokkaido Akkeshi Distillery), US (Journeyman), UK (Alchymia Distillery), New Zealand (New Zealand Whisky Collection), Tasmania (Lark Distillery) and Australia (Mclaren Vale Distillery SA , Craft Works Distillery NSW, Limeburners WA ), will all have 250ml of their spirit decanted into a special bottle hand blown by Nick Mount (Creator of Penfold’s Ampoules bottle) at the Icons of Whisky Awards dinner in Adelaide this August.

The combined spirit will then mature together in an Iconic Wines by Geoff Hardy Muscat cask for 10 yrs and on maturation the spirit will be divided into 8 x 1 litre vessels representing each of the countries involved, they will be Internationally presented and then auctioned.

This project aims to bring together and showcase ‘excellence in artistic form’ in the format of a premium glass art exhibition and will highlight the highest possible standards in ultra premium packaging and design for the ‘spirit industry’ Single Malt Whisky.

These vessels will be the key part of the glass exhibition to be held at each World Whisky and Spirits Conference over the next 10 years in the southern hemisphere.

This is an internationally significant event in the World of Whisky and Alchymia Distillery are delighted to have the opportunity to be involved in the infancy of our Distillery journey.
